AISI 4130 flanges are produced using a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel which normally contains approximately 0.30 percent carbon, 0.80-1.10 percent chromium and 0.15-0.25 percent molybdenum. Such chemical makeup provides a great level of strength, toughness, and weldability to the material. Tensile strength of these flanges is around 560 MPa and yield strength is around 460 MPa, thus they are sufficiently used in challenges and areas of high tension.
