The main components of Alloy 20 Spectacle Blind Flanges are nickel (32 -38%), chromium (19 -21 %), iron (balance) as well as copper (3 -4%), molybdenum (2 -3 %) and there are also little traces of manganese, silicon and carbon. This tailor made alloy has excellent protection against sulfuric acid and stress cracking caused by chloride enabled corrosion. These flanges have a tensile strength of about 80 ksi (550 MPa), a yield strength of 35 ksi (240 MPa) and a 30 percent or more elongation, which makes this product ideal in hard chemical process, pharmaceutical and marine conditions.
