Alloy Steel Threaded Flanges are made from alloy steel materials, which typically also contain substantial components of alloying elements like chromium, molybdenum, and nickel. These alloying elements enhance the material’s strength, toughness, hardness, and corrosion and thermal resistance properties. Each has a typical chemical composition, which comprise 0.25–0.55% carbon, 0.80–2.0% chromium, and 0.15–0.25% molybdenum. As a result, the tensile strength is very substantial; about 600 MPa, and good mechanical and heat resistance properties. Another advantage is that they can connect the pipe without the need to weld, making them easier to install, operate, and disassemble the system for maintenance.
