Copper nickel blind flanges are generally 90% copper and 10% nickel with trace amounts of manganese and iron. Flanges are corrosion resistant, particularly in seawater and salt environments. They have excellent strength, excellent ductility and thermal conductivity. Mechanical properties are high tensile strength (approximately 550 MPa) and yield strength (as high as 230 MPa).
