Copper nickel flanges, usually made of 90/10 or 70/30 copper-nickel alloys, provide excellent corrosion resistance, especially in seawater. With small additions of manganese and iron these flanges gain extra strength and durability. Their tensile strength ranges from 275 to 500 MPa, while their yield strength falls between 69 and 150 MPa with 20 to 50% elongation.
