Copper Nickel Flat Flanges (CuNi) consist of 90% Copper and 10% Nickel and are highly corrosion resistance materials especially in seawater and other marine applications. Depending on the grade, copper nickel flat flanges have notoriously good strength and robustness characteristics, as well as good thermal conductivity in addition to their mechanical properties. Copper Nickel Flat flanges can report tensile strengths ranges from 290-650 MPa, yield strengths ranging from 150-450 MPa and have elongations of up to 40%. Copper nickel are excellent at resisting biofouling (growth of marine life on a solid surface), resisting stress corrosion cracking, and in addition have good weldability.
