Long weld neck copper nickel flanges are made from copper (70-90%) and nickel (10-30%), along with small amounts of manganese and iron to improve strength and corrosion resistance. Long weld neck flanges are utilized a lot in marine applications. They have never good mechanical properties such as high tensile strength, ductility and stiffness for high compression. Corrosion and biofouling resistance ensures that they remains durable in marine waters and environments which is very robust.
