Copper nickel plate flanges (CuNi) with 90% copper and 10% nickel are known for their outstanding corrosion resistance in saltwater and seawater applications. CuNi has very strong mechanical properties with a tensile strength of around 350 MPa, yield strength around 180 MPa, elongation rate around 40% and decent thermal and electrical conductivities. Key advantages include wonderful seawater corrosion management, easy fabrication and reliable performance. It can withstand both high and low temperatures. The best fit is in marine applications, chemical processing and in catalyst production.
