Copper Nickel Spectacle Flanges are built with a copper nickel alloy, which typically has 90% copper and 10% nickel content. They are exceptionally corrosion resistant, especially in marine and other aggressive environments. They have are very strong, with a tensile strength of up to 550 MPa and are quite ductile, which makes them easy to fabricate and easy to shape. They are highly resistant to biofouling stress corrosion cracking and pitting, or crevice corrosion and are able to maintain thermal conductivity. Their better than average resistance to the harsh environments make them ideal for seawater systems and chemical processes.
