The higher carbon content sets 304H apart from standard 304 and 304L, making it a better fit for structural applications that face prolonged high heat. 304H flanges maintain a corrosion resistance similar to 304 and show excellent oxidation resistance, especially in continuous service up to 800°C (1472°F).
