Super Duplex Steel Flanges are made from a carefully balanced blend of chromium (24–26%), nickel (6–8%), molybdenum (3–5%), nitrogen (0.2–0.3%), and iron, along with small amounts of other elements. This unique composition boosts their resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. They boast impressive mechanical properties, featuring a minimum tensile strength of 800 MPa, yield strength of 550 MPa, and an elongation of up to 25%. The dual-phase (austenitic-ferritic) microstructure provides outstanding toughness, weldability, and resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, making them perfect for critical structural and pressure applications in harsh environments.
