Titanium Flanges are usually produced from Grades 2 and 5 titanium. Grade 2 is commercially pure titanium, possessing good corrosion resistance, particularly in oxidizing and marine conditions, with moderate strength and excellent ductility. Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) includes vanadium and aluminum, offering much greater strength, a tensile strength up to 895 MPa, and corrosion resistance. Titanium flanges are thermally stable, lightweight, and have high fatigue resistance and are, therefore, well adapted to both corrosive and high-stress conditions.
